About the Billboards

In March 2024, The Aftermath Foundation launched a new effort to directly reach current Sea Org members and Scientologists who want to leave Scientology and start new lives. Given how isolated Scientologists are from information in the outside world, there is no better way to inform them of the hope and help available to them when they're finally ready to escape. Within hours of this billboard going up, Scientology immediately erected a scissor lift to block the billboard, and then relentlessly pursued Clear Channel, who owned the billboard, unless they buckled and took the billboard down.
Now, the billboard campaign is back! 20 billboards have now gone up surrounding Scientology's many real estate holdings in the Los Angeles area.

In the month following the 2025 launch, we saw a 153% increase in website traffic and a 200% increase in calls to our helpline.
